Notes from 20110122

* This weekend could involve a purchase of some Kansas City style barbeque in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Only one real (authentic) option exists to purchase Kansas City style barbeque in Colorado Springs. A trip to Slayton’s Tejon Street Grill located in downtown Colorado Springs could be warranted this weekend.

* My Sony Bravia KDL-52EX701 television that failed exactly 91 days after purchase during the fourth quarter of the Jets/Patriots game still sits darkly consuming space in the living room. Based on my detailed explanation of the failure a Sony technician has diagnosed the problem. At some point, next week the repair might occur. The entire process so far seems to require about two weeks of bureaucratic samba before the television will be functional. Television repairs must be a big business. I wonder how difficult it would be to get certified as a repair technician.

* Given the amount of money the studio spent on The Green Hornet movie project ($110 million) starting Seth Rogan, the box office results so far have been disappointing and uninspiring. At this point, studio executives might be considering a direct to DVD sequel or a backdoor pilot for a television series.

* I am about to watch season one of Northern Exposure.
